Hypothesis
Apify Store (106k actors, buyers already holding credit) surfaces a focused pay-per-event actor on an open-data source (public API or terms that allow access, no bot evasion) to its users by search; an actor that ranks top-3 for its source name reaches 50+ monthly users and nets $100+/month after Apify's 20% and platform costs, billed and paid out by Apify (no Polar, no store review, no owner step until payout).
Stop rule
By 2027-01-31: fewer than 3 actors published, or fewer than 20 total monthly users across them 30 days after the 3rd is published; or net payout below $10 in December 2026 and January 2027 combined with 3+ actors live. Kill early if Apify refuses the account or payouts to Israel.
What we tried
: ONE-ROUND LAUNCH = after an owner step run (--dry-run prints everything; apify-cli at [private file]): login by token, push hacker-news, companies-house (CH_API_KEY secret from [private file]), ted-tenders, one test run each, prints Store URLs. = reopen and run it once. Titles now 'X Scraper & API: ...' (rivals with 60 users all say Scraper); snippets keep 'official API, no scraping, no proxies'. Actor 1 Hacker News built and tested locally; pushed=no. Actor 3 EU TED Tenders built and tested locally; pushed=no.
Next step
actor 5 GitHub repos built + tested locally keyless (search with 1,000-cap date splitting/lookup/owner, $0.001/result, user token required by GitHub ToS; cost 0.1-10%). 5 actors in ; push an owner step all wait on an owner step. OpenAlex key click. Payout need after first actor runs.
