Hypothesis
A single-purpose Slack app in the App Directory draws workspace installs from directory search alone (OrgaNice, Meet For Slack $4k MRR) and converts to a $5-$10/workspace/month plan via Polar.
Stop rule
Pre-listing: fewer than 10 active workspace installs by 2026-12-20 (Slack requires 10 before Marketplace submission). After approval: fewer than 10 new installs in the first 30 days listed, or 0 paid workspaces 60 days after approval.
What we tried
Slack public distribution was OFF until 1 Nov 2026 ~14:57Z (an owner step: owner ticked 'Remove Hard Coded Information' and activated it). Every outside install attempt before that failed, so pre- directory traffic (Launchdog, Crozdesk, TinyLaunch, alternative.me, saascity etc. in is NOT 'no signal'. Install page: bot-UA /slack/install?src=check still 302s to slack.com/oauth/v2/authorize (checked 1 Nov 17:00Z). , 'Slack says not available' fallback removed from 11 pages.
