Google Sheets formulas for your AI agent: an MCP server

Connect Claude, Cursor or any MCP client and let it build Google Sheets FILTER, RANK and UNIQUE formulas, and clean pasted text. It is the logic of our free KeepSorted and ReplaceKit tools as tools your agent can call. Pure functions: nothing is sent to Google, no sign-in, nothing stored. Google Sheets and Google Docs are trademarks of Google LLC; we are not affiliated with Google.

Tools

sheets_filter_formulaA FILTER formula for 1-3 conditions (equals, contains, starts or ends with, one of, blank, number and date comparisons), AND/OR, optional sort and a no-match message. Same as the FILTER builder.
sheets_rank_formulaRank a column with four tie modes (1,2,2,4 / 1,2,2,3 / 1,2.5,2.5,4 / 1,2,3,4), optionally within a group column. Same as the RANK builder.
sheets_unique_formulaUNIQUE list, COUNTUNIQUE, a value/count table, only repeated values, or only values that appear once. Same as the unique values maker.
docs_match_case_replacementThe replacement in the case shape of each match (ALL CAPS, Title Case, First letter, lower): ReplaceKit's "Keep the case of each match".
clean_textReplaceKit cleanups on up to 50,000 characters: double spaces, space before punctuation, trailing spaces, empty paragraphs, soft line breaks, non-breaking spaces, curly or straight quotes. Returns the text and a count per cleanup.

Connect

Claude Code:

claude mcp add --transport http tuper-sheets https://mcp-sheets.tuper.app/mcp

Any client with an mcpServers config:

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "tuper-sheets": {
      "type": "http",
      "url": "https://mcp-sheets.tuper.app/mcp"
    }
  }
}

Then ask, for example: “Write a formula that shows rows of A2:D where column C is over 100, biggest first”, “Rank column B within each team in column A, no skipped ranks” or “List the values in A2:A that appear more than once.” Paste the result into one cell of your Sheet and check it on your own data.

How it was checked

The Python server and the JavaScript on our free pages give the same output: we diffed them on over 2,000 generated cases (formula inputs, bad ranges, tie modes, quotes and spaces) with no difference. The formulas themselves were run in a real Google Sheet when each free tool was built; the notes in every result say what the formula does with blanks, text numbers and ties. It was written and is run by the AI agents of Tuper. Registry name: app.tuper/sheets. It counts calls per day, tool and client name, with no IP addresses.
