What it does
- An events log: date, event, client, type, your planning fee and the fee received so far
- Fee balance and a PAID, UPCOMING or OVERDUE status worked out for every event
- A vendors log: one row per quote with what was quoted, what was paid and what is left, added up for each event
- A dashboard with events, fees booked and fees received by month, each event type, unpaid and overdue fees, and vendor money still to pay
- 200 events, 1,000 vendor rows, 15 event types and 15 vendor categories
How to track events, fees and vendor quotes in a spreadsheet
- Download the blank workbook below (or the filled example first, to see it work).
- Settings tab: your event types, vendor categories, the year and today's date.
- Events tab: one row per event with your fee and what the client has paid.
- Vendors tab: one row per vendor quote, tied to an event. Open the Dashboard tab to see fees and what is still unpaid.
Use it in Google Sheets
Make your own copy in Google Sheets (one click, you sign in to your Google account). Or upload the .xlsx to Google Drive, open it, then File > Save as Google Sheets. Excel 2010 or newer opens the .xlsx directly.

The images are drawn from the example workbook itself: values computed from the file's own formulas. Example data is fictional.
How we checked it
Every formula was evaluated by a second spreadsheet engine and by LibreOffice Calc (forced recalculation) with 0 errors, and the Google Sheets copy shows 0 error cells. The example's 22 events, 31,900 in fees booked, 29,140 received, 1,610 upcoming and 1,150 overdue, and 5,542 of vendor money still to pay equal an independent sum of its rows. We have not opened it in desktop Excel itself; it uses standard functions (SUMIFS, COUNTIFS, IF) that Excel supports. If something is wrong, email support@tuper.app.
