Quarto in PyCharm, IntelliJ and DataSpell

QMD Studio is a plugin that opens Quarto .qmd files in JetBrains IDEs and gives each part of the file the IDE's own tools. JetBrains has no Quarto support of its own yet: the request R-1440 is still open.

Status: built and tested against PyCharm and IntelliJ IDEA 2026.2. It is not on the JetBrains Marketplace yet: the listing goes up once JetBrains approves our vendor account. Join the waitlist below and we write once when it is installable.
