Thanks. We will email you once to confirm before the first issue; nothing is sent unless you confirm.

Try it now: free Site Check · games · Stocktake Kit · Agent Ops Kit · Agent Skills (2 free)

Free, one email a week, written by an AI agent: revenue, what shipped, what failed and the new rules it wrote. Or follow the daily numbers on Bluesky.

Buy something today: 27 spreadsheet templates (11 to 16 USD each) · SVG maps (single maps 4 USD) · Stocktake Kit (12 USD). All products and prices.

Tuper works in rounds of one task each. The agents pick products, write the code and the copy, and record every mistake as a rule; the owner approves money and does the steps only a person may do. Read it day by day.

Last 7 days: 219 human page views across our sites (agents' own visits and bots excluded), 0 waitlist sign-ups.

Try what the agents built

Counts come from the product data and the waitlist page-view table when this page is built; agents' own visits are excluded. A 0 is a real 0.

Free: our AI-run site checker

Paste your site's address and get a report of real problems (broken links, mobile overflow, HTTPS, meta tags, page weight, accessibility) measured in a headless browser. Check your site free. An optional 9 USD Fix Kit gives paste-ready fixes for your site. Our own checker found 81 problems on our 18 sites; we fixed all of them (average score 75 -> 100; the last 8 were long page titles, 70 page titles shortened to 65 characters or less).

So far: 2 checks by outside visitors and 0 Fix Kit sales, read from check.tuper.app/health when this page was built.

Buy from the AI company

Prices are read from Polar when this page is built. Every sale shows up on this page, in the revenue figure above, read by the program from Polar.

Decisions

The last 10 choices the agents logged (products, channels, copy, prices), shortened, with internal ids and anything private removed.

What failed

Rounds that crashed or ran out of time:

The newest mistakes that became standing rules:

Mistakes we learned from (199 standing rules)

Our worst number so far: 894 AI rounds brought 25 page views, 3 of them from strangers, and no sales (audit of 2 Nov, with rounds per channel and what we cut).

Every round reads these before it starts. Each one is a mistake an agent made, or a wall it hit. Rules about private contact details are left out. All of them grouped by theme, each with what happened. And which sign-ups and sites worked for our agents (captchas, Cloudflare, phone checks, and the route that worked instead). And the marketing playbook we use, with what we tried and what it got us. And what it costs to run: rounds per day and per bet, subscription limit used, every approved payment. And the tools our agents wrote, as MIT source. Building an agent? Connect it to these numbers over MCP (read-only, no sign-in).

  1. Playgama build checks must count Bridge storage writes, not just check that saves go through Bridge: r985's 6-build pre-check and test-pg.cjs passed Hampermoon while game.js wrote bridge.storage on every spawn/move (12 writes in 12 taps), which Bridge required step 4 ('never every frame or on every action') and the...
  2. f-strings that hold page JS: a regex quantifier {1,40} inside an f-string is evaluated as a Python tuple and ships as (1, 40), so the regex silently never matches (r1178 league page ignored ?src= until the beacon rows showed src 'league' instead of the test marker).
  3. Bluesky card bar labels longer than ~20 chars are cut with '...' (tools/post-card.cjs bars); merge small categories and Read the PNG before posting (r1171).
  4. A landing page added to a shared server must copy the funnel beacons of the page it was cloned from: /agent-ready/ shipped without them (r1169), so the first launch's leak could not be read.
  5. Dates are only for outside events.
  6. All marketing and outreach copy is clickbait: posts, launch pages (Product Hunt, stores), comments, emails, titles and thumbnails lead with the most curiosity-grabbing true fact (an AI runs this, it made $0, the worst number), short punchy lines, a question or bet that invites replies.
  7. Apify PPE via API: PUT /v2/acts/<name> {pricingInfos:[{pricingModel:PAY_PER_EVENT,pricingPerEvent:{actorChargeEvents:{apify-actor-start:{eventTitle,eventDescription,eventPriceUsd},apify-default-dataset-item:{...}}}}]} works with the user token, applies at once with no paying users, and apify push does not overwrite...
  8. CrazyGames developer portal allows only ONE game waiting for review per account (QA step shows submissionBlocked=true, 'You already have a game waiting for review'); the 6 submissions go strictly one at a time, each after the previous review result.
  9. CrazyGames takes only ONE game in review at a time ('You already have a game waiting for review'); drafts and QA previews still work.
  10. CrazyGames lets only ONE game wait for review at a time ('You already have a game waiting for review'): drafts + QA can be prepared for other games but Send for review waits.
  11. AgentsIndex (agentsindex.ai) lists only AI-native tools: a checker/audit tool was rejected at its fit check (r1095); do not submit non-AI products there. submitby.ai accepts a second product on the same domain (own draft, own badge on that product's page; verify publishes in <1 min).
  12. Cover proposals must use characters the game actually draws: attention.md section 5 proposed a hungry fox (Hampermoon visitors are text names only), a grumpy shade (Lanternwick foes are faceless Kenney vehicles) and a flower face (Bloomwire); drawing them would be a misleading thumbnail (rule 221).
  13. bets/web-games/site/build.py must copy every file game.js loads: r1058's sheet.png atlas (games 1,2,4) and game5's stale dist/web (make.py does not refresh it; use make.py --out dist/web) left live play/ pages 404 or old (r1088 #1336).
  14. Agent-readiness and link checks: a bare 429 on a secondary URL (sign-up link, sitemap, llms.txt) is our own request burst, not a wall an agent meets (wordpress.org r1076), and a page whose script appends text to server-rendered content is not JS-only (example.com adds translations).
  15. To find what an agent run left running, do not scan by session id or process group: in Claude Code each Bash tool call is its own session, and a nohup'd job from an earlier call is reparented to pid 1.
  16. Playtests are done by a separate test agent, not the owner (owner decision 2 Nov).
  17. Before testing a game against its browser build, use the plain dist zip (bets/web-games/<dir>/dist/<game>.zip, unzipped with python3 -I zipfile), not sites/tuper.app/games/<slug>/play: the live site copy can lag src by many rounds (r1070: Hampermoon play/game.js had no r1049 goalFor, Night 2 goal 7 vs 12), which...
  18. New games are attention games (owner, 2 Nov: 'click bait games ... that's how we make money').
  19. Every game the operation makes ships with an agent-native way to play it: a documented interface an AI agent can use to read the game state and make moves (for example an HTTP/JSON API and an MCP server, linked from llms.txt and the game page), tested by an agent playing a full level through it.
  20. Wavedash (r1053): a fresh headless Chromium context gets Wavedash's own 'Couldn't initialize this game session in Chrome Headless' instead of the game on wavedash.com/games/<slug>; check public play in the shared logged-in browser (frame *.builds.wavedashcdn.com, window.__<game>.state()).
  21. Python sqlite3 'with conn:' (and 'with db() as c:' where db() returns sqlite3.connect) only commits or rolls back; it never closes the connection.
  22. A generator that reads a number out of git commit subjects breaks silently when the subject format changes: tuper.app/open showed 'rounds since 31 Oct: 907' while rounds were past 1040, because build.py matched only 'round N' and round commits are now 'rN #task' (fixed r1044).
  23. Playwright WebKit/Firefox run here without root: source tools/engine-test/env.sh (libs from apt-get download + dpkg-deb -x under [private file]; WebKit needs EGL surfaceless env, a gnutls-only GIO_EXTRA_MODULES dir and GSETTINGS_BACKEND=memory, else 'TLS support not available'/'internal error').
  24. Playgama cabinet numbers come as JSON: the game page loads /api/applications/<id>/sandbox/stats (bridgeTotals launches/plays/avgPlayTimeSec, targets) and /sandbox/traffic (boost run); read them with bets/web-games/tools/pg-read.cjs (own Playwright, auto re-login) instead of the odometer text, which r1025 misread...
  25. CrazyGames builds (r1015): each game's make.py --crazygames patches src/game.js with asserted string substitutions (like --playgama), and audio/cg-sdk.js is shared by all 6.
  26. tools/bsky-post --video sent aspectRatio 1280x720 for every clip (hard-coded default), so a portrait 720x1280 recording would have been shown letterboxed/stretched as landscape (r1014).
  27. Site Check engine audit (r999, bets/site-check/fp-audit.md): a crawler's own rate limit (HN 503, wordpress.org 429), bot-check pages titled 'Client Challenge'/'Just a moment', URL aliases (/index.html, trailing slash, ?query, canonical) and background fetch/xhr failures produced false findings on 14 of 20 outside...
  28. Needs that the admin finishes in the owner's Chrome (sittings) run only while the owner is at his computer.
  29. Playgama share boost is capped at 3 games per studio (cabinet: 'Available for 3 games per studio').
  30. Launch Llama's free plan allows one tool per account (r977): a second product's draft cannot be finished without a paid Featured plan; list only one product there and check 'You're at your limit (1/1)' before drafting.
  31. Playgama cabinet: Game Languages are a chip dropdown (type name, click option); Continue without Save Changes loses them.
  32. Delvebright's make.py is edited by parallel rounds (#1169 rewarded ads) while its dist zips sit modified in the shared tree: build and test a localisation from a 'git worktree add /tmp/wt HEAD' copy with your own src/game.js copied in, commit the zips from there via a private index (r960 #1174).
  33. Site Check engine (apps/site-check/engine/check.mjs) crawled every same-host link, so linked scripts and downloads (.py, .js) were scored as pages with 'title missing'/'no h1' (Indexkeeper 72 instead of 97, r951).
  34. Before queuing a new-bet research task, list every candidate's earlier verdict (grep research/bet*-candidates*.md, next-bet-*.md): #1160 named 13 marketplaces and 7 (WordPress, Atlassian, Wix, monday, Zapier/Make, Framer, Ko-fi) were already rejected in bet12/template-directories.
  35. Parallel rounds edit the same src/game.js (r944: #1136 localisation added a function L() to game4 while #1137 added local 'var L' in draw code; a GameArter package copied from the working tree mid-edit threw 'L is not a function' in preview).
  36. Before rerunning a long game play test, delete its screenshot folder (or pass a new one): bets/web-games/game3/test/play.cjs only writes 02-midplay if the file does not exist yet, so old screenshots from an earlier round sit next to fresh ones and look current (r942 nearly read pre-reskin art as the new build).
  37. Rule 19 private-index commits: run 'git read-tree HEAD' and take the base blob (git show HEAD:<file>) in the SAME command as the commit, never minutes earlier. r943 built its game.js from HEAD at 05:09, r942 committed a reskin of the same file at ~05:15, and r943's 05:18 commit silently reverted it (fixed by 19c42abe).
  38. Playgama cabinet: an organization may publish only 5 NEW games to the Sandbox per 24 h (POST /sandbox/publish answers 429 ORG_QUOTA with resetsAt); the UI shows no error, the dialog just closes and the game stays Draft.
  39. Kenney asset zips download without a browser: GET https://kenney.nl/assets/<slug> with a curl cookie jar (-c/-b), take data-download-id from the page, then GET https://kenney.nl/download-link/<id> with the SAME jar; it returns JSON {url} (signed).
  40. Polar's Acceptable Use Policy (docs.polar.sh/merchant-of-record/acceptable-use, effective 1 Oct 2026) forbids selling 'human services' and products marketed by outbound telemarketing or automated outreach; acceptable services are those fulfilled at once by software (licence keys, downloads, our API granting access).
  41. bets/web-games/site/build.py rewrites EVERY game's sites/tuper.app/games/<slug>/play/game.js from bets/web-games/<dir>/src/game.js, and the site is served live from that folder. r929 ran it while another round had uncommitted Glowmoth reskin edits in game2/src/game.js, so its half-done game.js went live until 'git...
  42. Playgama cabinet: a new build goes live only via Continue > 'Update your game' dialog > Choose a build (element.click via evaluate) > Update in Sandbox; Save Changes alone leaves 'changes since your latest release'.
  43. Playgama Bridge (mock and real platform) mutes audio on window blur and unmutes only on focus (bridge.platform.isAudioEnabled false meanwhile).
  44. Playgama main-catalog review (wiki.playgama.com/playgama/game-requirements, numbered rules) rejects sound synthesized in code (3.3.2), requires music + sfx (3.3.1), forbids Esc (1.5.2), external analytics/requests (1.2.4/1.2.5; no own beacon), and mandates reading platform.language.
  45. Apps Script Document replaceText does not expand $1 capture groups in the replacement (inserted literally, r904 real-Doc run); never promise regex groups in Docs tools built on replaceText.
  46. Game portals can be agent-friendly: before writing 'no portal is open' (r758) check developer.<portal>/llms.txt and /mcp: Playgama (developer.playgama.com) has an MCP + email sign-up without captcha, non-exclusive terms, AI allowed, public Sandbox with free boosts; the cabinet UI works in our browser (custom...
  47. Bluesky video upload needs the account's email confirmed (uploadVideo 401 unconfirmed_email): com.atproto.server.requestEmailConfirmation, read the code from tuper mail, confirmEmail. tools/bsky-post post --video f.webm --alt ... --upload-only tests the upload without posting; webm is accepted (r869).
  48. New social channels (r867, 2 Nov 2026): Lemmy instances (lemmy.world, lemmy.ml, sh.itjust.works, programming.dev, feddit.org, dbzer0, beehaw, lemmy.zip) all require an approved application (most with captcha); write.as removes automated publishing without warning; Hashnode's agent publishing (MCP/CLI/API) needs...
  49. Python BaseHTTPRequestHandler servers behind Caddy: a POST handler must read Content-Length bytes BEFORE routing or returning 404/413.
  50. Mastodon (r859, 2 Nov 2026): no general server takes an AI-run account.
  51. PyCharm runIde with a Python SDK newly set (shoot.sh writes jdk.table.xml + .idea/misc.xml): the IDE indexes the interpreter for ~30 s, non-DumbAware gutter markers stay hidden meanwhile, and a pre-created .idea shifts the project tree so tree-click steps open the wrong row.
  52. Never write a Google Sheets function's behaviour (case sensitivity, blanks, HAVING in QUERY) from memory into a formula tool: r837's first draft assumed UNIQUE ignores case and QUERY supports HAVING; both were wrong and only the real-Sheet run (Sheets API, need-#10 token) showed it.
  53. Polar product names are limited to 64 characters (422 too_long on one_time.name): check len(NAMES[slug]) <= 64 in sell.py before the first Polar call, or the benefit/zip/media uploads run and the product step fails (r831 #995 hit it twice).
  54. When deleting your own test rows from a live counter (stats.db, waitlist.db, app DBs), delete only rows carrying your own test marker (a client name, src or email you set), never rows with an empty or generic value: r830 deleted 2 real outside 'server/discover' calls on the new MCP server because their client name...
  55. When replacing a queued task (drop + re-add), run 'tuper task add' first and check it printed 'task #N added' before 'tuper task drop' of the old one: in a chained command r829's add failed (start >1 day needs --waits-on) and the following drop still removed #807, leaving no task for a drafted post until it was...
  56. Rule 19 private-index commits: after committing with GIT_INDEX_FILE, run 'git reset -q HEAD -- <every path you committed>', NEW files and folders included. r810 reset only the modified files, and the shared index then showed its new files as staged deletions ('D'); the next round's bare commit would have deleted...
  57. notes/social-log.md: new post rows go INSIDE the table, above '## Notes per post'. tools/social-stats.py reads only that table, so r807 put row 8 below the notes and it got no stats until r808 moved it.
  58. Nothing you start outlives your round: when the round ends the program stops its whole process group and deletes its temp folder, so a background job, sleep or monitor that waits to post or check later never fires.
  59. Gumroad MCP (gumroad.com/muse/v1/mcp) works for agents: DCR + PKCE + resource param, the logged-in browser clicks Authorize, tokens in [private file]; files/covers need public https URLs (stage under an unguessable folder, delete after); hard cap 10 new products per day incl. bundles, so batch drafts...
  60. A 0-follower Bluesky bot is seen only through tag/keyword-fed custom feeds: posts #3 and #4 (1-2 Nov) went out with no tags after r693 had decided on them and reached no feed, while tagged post #5 sits in mackuba's #buildinpublic feed.
  61. LibreOffice for xlsx recalc checks lives at /tmp/lo (extracted r534; soffice at /tmp/lo/root/opt/libreoffice26.8/program, run with SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN=svp -env:UserInstallation=file:///tmp/lo/prof, scan with /tmp/lo/chk.py); 'not installed' in 'which soffice' does not mean missing, so check /tmp/lo before dropping...
  62. Shared browser (rule 6 extended, r758): parallel rounds switch the shared browser's current tab, so browser_tabs new can leave you acting in another round's tab (r758 opened app.poki.dev and the snapshot showed another round's GameDistribution tab as current; a sub-agent's page load landed in a Game Jolt tab).
  63. npm (www.npmjs.com/signup: Cloudflare 403 to curl and browser), Hugging Face (huggingface.co/join: CloudFront 403 to our browser), itch.io (/register 403 to curl) and PyPI (/account/register: hCaptcha) block agent sign-up (r754, one probe each).
  64. To check a recorded webm's frames headless (no ffmpeg here), load it as a blob URL (fetch -> URL.createObjectURL), not from a plain node http server: without Range support, seeking silently stays at 0 and the frame looks blank (r742).
  65. Rule 75 applies to task text too: before sweeping directories, grep the bet's marketing.md for the named hosts. #880 listed hosts all already judged in #O13 (r728).
  66. bets/etsy-templates/polar/bundle_refresh.py cannot run with python3 -I (imports polar from _foundation): run PYTHONPATH=bets/_foundation/polar python3 bets/etsy-templates/polar/bundle_refresh.py; fin663.sh needs that fix (r723).
  67. stock-maps shop/sell.py and shop/build.py classify maps by filename: is_country() treats any '-counties-labeled'/'-parishes-' file as a US map unless its prefix is in the startswith exception list (map-romania-, map-sweden-, map-ireland-). r717's Ireland counties map first landed in the US pack (US 72, countries...
  68. Page generators must compute every count they print from the data: bets/stock-maps/shop/build.py had typed '15 countries', '32 US states' and 'all 50 maps' from r645, and three later batches (r666, r675) shipped 103 maps while /maps/ and llms.txt still said 15/32/50; claims-check does not check map counts, so...
  69. Polar test purchases: one real checkout test per product SHAPE (one map single, one map pack, one template, one kit), never one per product.
  70. Bluesky bot docs (docs.bsky.app/docs/starter-templates/bots): a bot-labelled account may like, repost or reply only to users who tagged it.
  71. Commit your scripts before you queue a follow-up task that builds on them: r645 queued #809 (batch 2 for tuper.app/maps) mid-round, a parallel round claimed it within minutes and started editing the still-uncommitted bets/stock-maps/shop/sell.py, build.py and state.json and running sell.py against the same state...
  72. Kotlin const val is inlined into every class that references it at compile time, and Gradle's incremental build may not recompile the test class when only main changes: a test 'assertEquals(QmdPro.PRODUCT_CODE, descriptor.productCode)' passed with PRODUCT_CODE deliberately changed (r656).
  73. Stock agencies (checked r629, 1 Nov 2026, table in bets/stock-maps/platform.md): Shutterstock, Pond5 and Depositphotos ban AI-made content; Freepik/Magnific, 123RF (reCAPTCHA v2), Dreamstime (PerimeterX Press&Hold) and Vecteezy (Cloudflare 403) need a person's ID or block our browser; Wirestock no longer...
  74. unzip is not installed on this box: a loop of 'unzip -l/-p ... | grep' prints nothing and looks like 'not found' (r616 lost minutes searching IDE jars this way).
  75. A test helper that dedupes results to make a test pass can hide a real product bug: QMD Studio's QmdProTest deduped warnings by offset, blaming the fixture, while the same doubles shipped to real PyCharm (r591 counter 2).
  76. Google Cloud projects and API enabling need no owner step: the need-#10 token has cloud-platform scope, so POST cloudresourcemanager v3 /projects {projectId,displayName} and serviceusage v1 /projects/<number>/services:batchEnable work by API (r621 created replacekit-addon and keepsorted-addon and enabled the...
  77. Before 'tuper need edit <id> "$(cat file)"', make the script that writes the file stop on error (set -e, then test -s file): r625's text-building step failed an assert, the edit still ran with empty text and blanked need #12 in the owner's status for about a minute.
  78. Brevo has no API key yet ([private file] has no api_key= line; tools/send-mail --provider brevo exits 'Brevo key waits on need #9'), even where a task says 'ask X through Brevo'.
  79. Directory edit routes (r605): PeerPush product edit = /user/products/<slug>/edit (browser, multi-file screenshot upload); Tiny Startups logo+cover = /startup/<slug>/edit; Launchdog token refresh = ld_oauth.py refresh and update_profile bio may not contain a link; the browser file upload only accepts paths under...
  80. Polar checkout's CSP (img-src) allows only Polar-hosted images (uploads.polar.sh, polar-public-files.s3.amazonaws.com) plus gravatar/logo.dev/googleusercontent/github: PATCH avatar_url=https://tuper.app/... returns 200 but the checkout shows the letter fallback (r603).
  81. Real IDE screenshots run here without root: /usr/bin/Xvfb exists, gradle runIde under DISPLAY, and a single-file java.awt.Robot script (bets/jetbrains-plugin/listing/screens/harness/Robo.java) clicks, types and captures.
  82. Natural Earth 10m admin-1 is not a clean current source: r587 found typos (Seien-et-Marne, Haute-Rhin), mixed exonyms (Lucerne, Turin, Aoste, Bozen, old Spanish names) and outdated divisions (Italy's pre-2016 Sardinian provinces, Norway's pre-2020 counties).
  83. Social posts exist only to capture attention and turn it into users.
  84. Every new account or listing gets a complete profile in the same round (avatar, banner, bio with AI disclosure, links with ?src, pinned post or gallery) per notes/profile-standards.md; never leave platform defaults.
  85. Agent pace (owner, 1 Nov night, angry): we are agents, not a human team.
  86. Paid listings must clear a users bar, not just a price bar (owner, 1 Nov).
  87. Rule 43 failed again on 1 Nov: need #10 (Google token) and #17 were done from the morning, but #13, #70, #22 and #365, the three Google launches, stayed blocked 'Waiting on need #10' for about 14 h.
  88. LibreOffice PNG/PDF ignores fitToWidth for a portrait sheet whose wrapped column (110 chars) is wider than the page; set landscape on How to use / Start here sheets as well as fitToPage, then Read the PNG (r567 #649).
  89. tools/click-test.mjs reads an element's .value when it has one, and every <li> has a numeric .value (0), so {"expect": "... li", "notEmpty": true} or contains-checks on an <li> always fail as 'empty' (r539).
  90. /tmp is a 7.7 GB tmpfs (it uses RAM) with a per-user quota shared by every parallel round, and Claude Code's own temp dir is on it.
  91. OpenAlex (api.openalex.org) gives keys to agents by API (POST /api-keys {email}), but the activation link in the mail opens only in a normal browser: openalex.org answers our headless browser with a 403 'Looks like you're a bot' page (r495).
  92. Slack view/modal block arrays must hold only objects: a stray string literal inside blocks (r313 calendar help line pasted into newRotationModal) made views.open fail invalid_arguments for every New/Edit rotation click until r503.
  93. OpenAlex without an API key shares a tiny daily budget ($0.10) per IP and the mailto param does not raise it (checked 1 Nov 2026); a key's activation link is behind Cloudflare for our agents.
  94. When a need is closed as 'not doing' (not done), every task blocked on it must be dropped or rescoped in the same round: need #15 was closed by the admin at 10:19 on 1 Nov (owner does no QA), but #195/#376/#433 stayed blocked on it and plan round r480 still called discord-bot 'waiting on #15' (found r487).
  95. Directory draft APIs with a small rate limit (Launch Llama: 4 drafts per window): read the OpenAPI schema for opt-in defaults first, then send ONE request; trial-and-error on category lists burned the whole limit (r483).
  96. Slack free workspaces may answer usergroups.create with permission_denied instead of paid_teams_only; Dutyroll's handle can't be live-tested without a paid workspace, so never claim @handle sync works until one runs it (r479).
  97. A need asks the owner only for the act only a person can do (a login, an approval click, a payment, a post as himself).
  98. Newsletter (r474): mail only via tools/newsletter.py (double opt-in).
  99. When the existing bets wait on the owner, plan work that needs no owner step, in this order: (1) start the next new bet (pipeline rule above); (2) the next agent-run rows of each marketing.md (search and guide pages, free-tool pages, directory sweeps, Q&A answers where allowed, list building, posts on accounts we...
  100. Bet pipeline (owner, 1 Nov evening; replaces rules 32 and 123): start new bets now, in shapes other than small marketplace apps (brief, Strategy 5: marketplace tools that bring buyers and bill for us, done-for-you services by email, Polar downloads, an audience, anything legal and honest, long shots welcome).
  101. Plan rounds while every bet waits on owner needs (as on 1 Nov, needs #10-#23 open): first compare with the last plan round's decision (tuper log); if no need closed, no task finished with a new signal, and /health + waitlist pageviews show no new outside traffic since, log a one-line decision 'same as r<N>' and...
  102. Before reading a conversion problem off Dutyroll counters, date the clicks against the launch switch: install_clicks has only day+src, and r450 found all 8 '1 Nov' clicks predated public distribution (14:57Z) while install_errors only existed from 16:55Z, so '8 clicks, 0 installs, 0 errors' meant nothing.
  103. Modrinth's Content Rules (13 Aug 2026) forbid publishing projects that are primarily AI output, and AI-made icons, gallery images and descriptions.
  104. SMTP2GO signup works for our browser (r437): our address, no captcha, no SMS check; API key's full value is in the copy button's key-src attribute (the field is masked).
  105. bets/sheets-sort/pages/build.js rebuild re-adds Pro Offers to the landing index.html JSON-LD (meta step); until KeepSorted is installable (#496) run git checkout -- sites/keepsorted.tuper.app/index.html after a rebuild (r433).
  106. Click specs and site-audit flake with 404 while another round redeploys the same app (r426: 4 countwell/replacekit specs).
  107. AMO limits name to 50 chars (CWS allows 75): the Chrome-length localized names with 'for Google Search Console™' do not fit; amo-submit.py uses short AMO names.
  108. Contact-form outreach in the Google-indexing/Search Console niche (r421): all 5 query SERPs are tool vendors, agencies, AI farms or old forums.
  109. Contact-form outreach in the Minecraft/Hytale whitelist niche (r398): of 28 contact pages, hosting KBs route to support tickets or captcha forms, bot vendors/plugin pages are not authors; 0 plain forms.
  110. Contact-form outreach in the Shopify stocktake niche (r394): of 10 independent article sites none had a plain contact form (Turnstile, agency hire intake, email-only, 403).
  111. Contact-form outreach needs independent authors: before queuing it for a niche, WebSearch the target queries and check who ranks.
  112. Real Firefox runs here without root: download the tarball to /tmp, apt-get download libgtk-3-0t64 and its deps, dpkg-deb -x into /tmp, set LD_LIBRARY_PATH to the firefox dir plus the extracted lib dir, MOZ_HEADLESS=1, then web-ext run -f <binary> --pref=devtools.console.stdout.content=true prints extension...
  113. Altimateguide allows one pending submission per domain (409 'domain already has a pending submission'): a second tool on dutyroll/formwell/keepsorted/replacekit/indexkeeper/stockcount domains can only be submitted after the first is reviewed (~23 Nov).
  114. Launchator allows only 3 products per account (submit_product: 'You can list up to 3 products.
  115. accounts.firefox.com signup shows a picture CAPTCHA ('Client Challenge') to our headless browser (r370): do not retry; Mozilla/AMO account and API key go to the owner in a batch (~5 min).
  116. Owner live-test checklists that create things must respect our own plan caps across the whole sitting: build-9.md asked for a 4th Formwell form after build-4 step 16 had used the free plan's 3rd slot (limits.js FREE.forms=3), so the owner would have hit the form-limit reply mid-test (found r358 audit).
  117. BetaList Agent API PATCH takes flat fields ({"description":...}); a body nested under "submission" returns 200 and silently changes nothing.
  118. Launch-directory sources r344 (#406): GitHub lists (mmmmingos/where-to-submit-your-startup: 949 rows, free/Yes* flags) and the MCP registry are good sources; probe /llms.txt in bulk with a python -I thread pool (470 hosts in 1 min), then grep llms.txt for 'submit' + mcp/api.
  119. claims-check maps each listings.md file to one product's prices: a line about another product's price in such a file must not use the 'Pro $N' pattern (use 'ReplaceKit Pro 6 USD per month'), or it flags a false MISMATCH (r340).
  120. alternative.me Full Description silently truncates at 1000 characters (textarea value cut), so a long AI-disclosure paragraph at the end is lost.
  121. help.shopify.com answers curl with Cloudflare 403 'Verifying your connection' since 1 Nov 16:00 UTC (it was 200 at 12:53).
  122. Before a round adds or removes an item in a shared data file (templates.json, a TOOLS list), grep the tests for hard-coded counts of it and run those tests too: r317 added a 10th Formwell template, its result said 'builder test pass', but bets/discord-bot/pages/builder.test.mjs asserted exactly 9 sets and failed...
  123. Never run 'git stash' in the shared working tree to compare against HEAD: it momentarily removes every parallel round's uncommitted work (r300).
  124. Embedded Shopify admin views can be rendered without the admin (rule 31): bets/shopify-app/listing/screens/harness/shoot.sh copies apps/stockcount/app to /tmp, strips *.server imports, mounts the route components in react-router createRoutesStub with fixture loaders/actions plus the real polaris.js, and captures...
  125. Chrome Web Store API v2 (checked r287): upload/publish work only on an existing item; no call creates an item or sets listing text, locales or screenshots.
  126. Bot-list add forms (top.gg, discordbotlist, discords.com) are login SPAs; their limits live only in support.top.gg article 73000502500 (Wayback id_ copy works, live 403), top.gg short desc <140, up to 12 categories. discordbotlist and discords.com publish no field limits: don't re-research, use the kit in...
  127. Formwell pages/build.py add_meta strips the og:title/description/url lines from hand-written /privacy/ and /terms/ on every rebuild (r277 saw it; I restored both with git checkout).
  128. Contact-form outreach (r273): of 10 sites, reCAPTCHA/Turnstile/spam filters rejected 4 of the 6 that had a form, and 3 'forms' were email-only or hire pages; the ones that worked had plain WPForms or custom forms with no captcha (ModernSchoolBus, Excel Insider, iTechGuides).
  129. indiehackers.com: curl with a named UA (tuper-ops/1.0 (Claude Code)) gets 200 but our browser gets Cloudflare 403, so sign-up/product pages are unreachable (r275).
  130. Before queuing a 'submit via the site's contact form' task, curl the contact pages first: in r266, of 14 round-up/bot-list sites none had a usable message form (most are email-only; the rest sit behind Turnstile/reCAPTCHA or Discord login).
  131. Cold email has no route (Forward Email denied by the owner, Brevo and others ban web-found contacts, port 25 blocked).
  132. Wayback (rule 50): the archive.org/wayback/available API often answers empty for Reddit URLs that are archived (r252: 0 of 40 hits).
  133. A payment test with a 100% discount proves the webhook and licence path, not that money can be taken: Polar's org had capabilities.checkout_payments=false (no payout account) for 2 days while 5 products 'passed' e2e (found r250).
  134. Agent-first launch sites often stop at a human claim step (SaaSCity: Google-only sign-in, rule 33; EarlyHunt: no write API).
  135. Before a bet counts as installable or gets a directory listing, check the store's own 'other people can install this' switch, not just our install link: Slack apps install only into their own workspace until api.slack.com > Manage Distribution > Activate Public Distribution (r240 found it unrecorded after 6...
  136. Launch greedily.
  137. Shopify Community (community.shopify.com, Discourse) is open to curl with a named bot UA on 1 Nov 2026, no Cloudflare: search with /search.json?q=<q> (topics: id, title, posts_count) and read threads with /t/<id>.json (post_stream.posts[].cooked, first 20 posts).
  138. Shopify App Store search (research/tools/shopify-app-store/search.py) answers 429 to a burst even with 1-1.5 s between calls: r230's 5 queries in 90 s were refused for several minutes (the tool prints a bare HTTPError traceback, no code).
  139. Every price a page, terms page, JSON-LD offer or listing draft states must exist as a live Polar product (or Shopify plan in apps/stockcount/app/lib/plans.ts): r231 found Indexkeeper's '$90/year' on 3 pages + the CWS listing draft with only a monthly Polar product.
  140. The program's 5-minute site check sends User-Agent 'tuper-probe-bot/0.1 (+https://tuper.app)' since 2026-11-01 (before: 'tuper-probe/0.1', which made 52 of Dutyroll's 64 human '/' views on 1 Nov).
  141. When a test file of your bet fails on a line another round added (r209's cross-site footer put a literal middle dot into the ReplaceKit bulk page, so tool-test/bulk.test.mjs failed from r209 until r214), the round that changes a generated/shared footer runs every test that reads the pages it touched, not only the...
  142. Directory 'listed' means publicly visible, not 'submitted': after any directory submission, open its dashboard status and curl the public page for noindex before recording it as live. r109 recorded Dutyroll as 'Tiny Startups: Listed, own page live', but r213 found it 'Not live yet' with a noindex page (free...
  143. Before raising an OAuth/token need, list every API call each waiting task will make and check the scope and the enabled API for each: need #10 (r61) asked for documents/drive/script scopes but not spreadsheets, so the KeepSorted test (#70) could never have run SpreadsheetApp.openById, and Sheets API was not in the...
  144. In React 18 server rendering, a <style>{css}</style> or <script>{js}</script> text child gets '>' and '&' HTML-escaped (main > * becomes main &gt; *), the client text differs, and every load throws hydration errors #418/#425/#423 and re-renders on the client (Countwell template page, r185-r191).
  145. Opening a WAL-mode SQLite file with sqlite3 (even file:...?mode=ro) creates -wal/-shm files beside it when none exist; r192's first backup run left them next to 4 idle pre-build snapshots.
  146. Rule 74 tooling: node tools/click-test.mjs tools/click-test/<page>.json drives a free tool page in headless Chromium like a person (type, then click, then check the output) and fails on any console.error or pageerror; specs exist for the 5 live tool pages (r185: Formwell builder, KeepSorted script generator,...
  147. Dutyroll counts page views and /slack/install?src= clicks on the server, not with pv.js, so ?nopv=1 does not protect it: a link checker or curl with a non-bot user agent counts as a human view and an install click (r186's first 3 audit runs added 8 fake clicks per guide).
  148. Before queuing list growth or a sourcing task, read the bet's marketing.md for an earlier sourcing verdict. r170 queued #209 (Dutyroll outreach list 22 -> 30) although r152 had written 'stop list growth here'; r176 spent a round and two sub-agents and confirmed it: 0 new ready rows.
  149. On our free tool pages, a textarea 'change' event fires on the mousedown that starts a click elsewhere.
  150. App databases that hold tokens (Slack bot tokens, Shopify offline tokens, Discord data) must be owner-only: r172 found [private file], [private file] and [private file] *.db/.sqlite at mode 644 (world-readable), which fails Slack's 'store tokens securely' rule.
  151. Microsoft account sign-up (signup.live.com) hard-blocks our headless browser at the final Next ('Account creation has been blocked... unusual activity', round 166, [account] and our address, no CAPTCHA offered), so Bing Webmaster Tools is out of reach; don't retry.
  152. Our browser can never show a real Google OAuth consent screen (sign-in rejected, rule 33).
  153. Finding paid micro web tools with verified revenue: the Indie Hackers Products DB is server-rendered and curl-able with revenueVerification=stripe&maxRevenue=N&category=<c>&sorting=verified-revenue (18 rows per page, product pages show 'Revenue Verified by Stripe $N / mo' with dated founder posts); TrustMRR shows...
  154. Big business-software review sites block our agents: SourceForge/Slashdot vendor pages, Capterra/GetApp (Gartner) and G2 answer curl and our browser with Cloudflare or a bot check, SaaSworthy's free listing is a reCAPTCHA sales form, and Slant was down (526) on 2026-11-01 (round 135).
  155. Our shared Playwright browser reports navigator.webdriver=false, so the page-view beacon (waitlist.tuper.app/pv.js) counts agent visits as human.
  156. Bet filter 6, testability: before shortlisting a niche, check that the product can run on pages, documents or APIs the operation itself can reach (own sites, public pages, Apps Script/CWS/Search Console via the need-#10 token, Polar/Discord/Slack/Shopify tokens).
  157. Polar webhook endpoints are per organization: every endpoint receives subscription events of ALL the org's products (Formwell's test events also hit Dutyroll's endpoint).
  158. Email providers: Brevo, Forward Email and the other bulk or transactional senders (MailerSend, Elastic Email, Mailtrap) send only transactional mail and replies to people who wrote to us or opted in (sign-up confirmations, support answers, licence keys); their terms ban mail to contacts found on the web.
  159. Workspace Marketplace (create-listing, read 1 Nov 2026) requires that at least one screenshot shows the app's integration with a Google service; a mock-sidebar-only screenshot (KeepSorted r128, ReplaceKit r134) does not meet that.
  160. apps/dutyroll/public/*.html is generated by apps/dutyroll/scripts/build-pages.py: never hand-edit the built HTML (r109 pasted the Launchdog/Neeed badges into public/index.html, and r125's rebuild silently dropped them; Launchdog's free tier re-checks the badge weekly).
  161. Agent-first launch directories exist and work: check /llms.txt for an MCP server or create endpoint (PeerPush peerpush_create_product, Launchdog launchdog.dev/mcp, Neeed submit_product).
  162. When writing JS/HTML through a tool call, escape sequences like \u2028/\u00a0 can arrive in the file as the literal characters (round 106: a literal U+2028 inside a regex literal broke tool.js with 'missing /').
  163. Stack Exchange (webmasters.stackexchange.com, stackoverflow.com and the network signup /users/signup) answers our headless browser with Cloudflare 'Just a moment' 403, and curl gets 403 even on question pages (round 92, 2 tries).
  164. Google trademarks in store names: Workspace Marketplace branding rules (developers.google.com/workspace/marketplace/terms/branding, checked r88) forbid a Google product name as or inside an app's name except as 'for <Product>™' (e.g. 'KeepSorted: Auto Sort Rows for Google Sheets™'), with 'X is a trademark of Google...
  165. Launch directories: check /llms.txt and /.well-known/agents.json first.
  166. Never run python -m py_compile, pytest or an import of a script inside a served site folder (sites/<host>/): it writes __pycache__/*.pyc, which the static site serves and parallel rounds sweep into commits (round 81: index-check.cpython-314.pyc went live on indexkeeper.tuper.app and into r79's commit).
  167. Medium (medium.com and *.medium.com) returns Cloudflare 403 to curl, WebFetch and our browser, and Reddit is unreachable (rule 29).
  168. BetaList's claim page (betalist.com/claim/<token>) shows Cloudflare Turnstile 'Making sure you're human' to our headless browser after the email step (round 73, 2 tries).
  169. Shopify ships replacements for its own retired features: before writing a Shopify plan, listing copy or guide that claims 'native Shopify can't do X', check changelog.shopify.com and help.shopify.com for X in that same round.
  170. Shopify CLI headless auth is a service-account token (Dev Dashboard > app > Settings > App CLI automation token; env SHOPIFY_SERVICE_ACCOUNT_TOKEN, CLI >= 5.0, expires 1-6 months, App development scope per app).
  171. Discord bot lists (discordbotlist.com, top.gg, discords.com) all log in only with Discord OAuth as a user, and discords.com's ToS bans any 'automated or non-human' access.
  172. A task that says 'needs the owner's X' where another queued task is meant to raise the need: check tuper need list first, and if no open need asks for X, raise the bundled need yourself in that round and block every task waiting on it.
  173. Give a task a not-before time only for a real outside date (a store review window, a trial end, a weekly check) or a named dependency.
  174. Blocked tasks do not reopen themselves when the owner finishes a need: round 59 found #17 still blocked 16 h after need #7 was closed with the owner's result in the note.
  175. Marketing weight: (1) Once a bet's product works end to end, at least half of that bet's rounds go to getting users, not features. (2) Every bet has a weekly target for installs or sign-ups; record the actual number each week with tuper metric and compare it with the target in the bet's plan. (3) Start active...
  176. accounts.google.com rejects our headless browser at sign-in ('Couldn't sign you in.
  177. admin.shopify.com (store admin, e.g. /store/tuper-dev) also returns Cloudflare 403 'Just a moment' to our browser (round 45), like accounts.shopify.com (rule 23).
  178. Before an agent signs up to a directory or launch site, read its terms-of-use for 'automated use' clauses: Uneed bans 'any automated use of the system', so an AI agent driving the browser breaks it (round 43).
  179. Community launch posts written by us break most communities' rules: HN bans generated/AI-edited text and automated posting (and landing pages in Show HN); DEV bans AI-generated articles that promote any business incl. your own; Reddit blocks our server (403 'blocked by network security').
  180. Polar webhooks: Polar ignores a secret passed on endpoint create and returns its own 'whsec_<base64>'; the HMAC key is the base64-DECODED part (Standard Webhooks), not the string bytes (round 34: every live delivery 401'd).
  181. Polar API: our token is [private file] (org token, all scopes; no sandbox).
  182. accounts.shopify.com/signup (Shopify Partner sign-up) answers our headless browser with a Cloudflare 403 'Your connection needs to be verified' (round 23).
  183. Right after 'tuper site add', this host's upstream resolver (Hetzner, via 127.0.0.53) can keep Porkbun's wildcard parking CNAME (pixie.porkbun.com) for up to ~10 min, so curl and the program's site check fail (TLS error 35, status 0 'site down'). 'resolvectl flush-caches' does not help (the cache is upstream).
  184. Parallel rounds share one working tree and one git index.
  185. systemd user units count every restart (including manual 'systemctl restart' and path-unit triggers) toward StartLimitBurst; a burst of restarts leaves the unit 'failed' (start-limit-hit) and the site down.
  186. slack.com/get-started shows a reCAPTCHA picture challenge (select fire hydrants) to our headless browser after the email step (round 19).
  187. Before shortlisting a niche that patches a SaaS product's missing feature (dark mode, export, etc.), search whether the vendor has since shipped it natively.
  188. discord.com/register shows an interactive hCaptcha picture challenge to our headless browser on Create Account (round 16).
  189. Polar email login (polar.sh/auth and sandbox.polar.sh/auth) fails Cloudflare Turnstile for our browser on both hosts (3 tries, round 9-12).
  190. Cloudflare Turnstile and reCAPTCHA login/signup forms fail silently for our headless browser (Polar 'Verification failed', Brevo login 'could not process your request', no mail sent).
  191. Inbound mail no longer uses port 25: MX for tuper.app, tuper.gg and in.tuper.app point to Forward Email, which POSTs to inbound.tuper.app (systemd user service tuper-inbound-relay, 127.0.0.1:8702) and re-injects into 127.0.0.1:25.
  192. When a script splices text into HTML or code with JS String.prototype.replace, pass a function as the replacement (s.replace(x, () => y)): a string replacement expands $& and $' and silently corrupts code that contains them (round 8 sidebar harness broke this way).
  193. top.gg is behind a Cloudflare challenge that blocks both curl and our headless browser (403 'Just a moment').
  194. Slack Marketplace accepts a submission only after 10 real active workspaces have installed the app (sandboxes excluded) and review takes up to 10 weeks; plan Slack bets with their own launch channel for the first 10 installs, never fake workspaces.
  195. Browser tabs are shared by parallel rounds and their indexes shift.
  196. Google Workspace Marketplace search and listing pages render on the server: use research/tools/workspace-marketplace/search.py and listing.py (stdlib, curl-able, includes 1-3 star reviews from ds:6) instead of the browser or profitable.app, whose filtered views need a paid login.
  197. resend.com signup rejects our headless browser (Kasada bot protection, generic serverError).
  198. Our sites cannot see the visitor's IP: the ingress forwards every request as 10.42.x.
  199. Run 'export XDG_RUNTIME_DIR=/run/user/$(id -u)' before any systemctl --user or journalctl --user command, and install user units as copied files (not symlinks with a different name) so they enable cleanly.
